Flap hat

The Flap hat is worked bottom up in stockinette stitch with one strand of worsted weight yarn or two strands of dk/sport + lace yarn held together. Body of the hat is worked on 4.0 mm [US 6] needles. There are available two different sizes of flaps and both are worked on 3.0 mm [US 2.5] needles using double knitting technique. Bead on top of the hat and flap laces are worked with a 3.0mm crochet hook. No sewing is needed. Pattern contains pictures for showing used techniques. **Sizes**: S (M) L the approx. equivalent to teen/woman (woman) man. **Measurements:** Fits head circumference 50-54 (54-57) 57-61 cm [19.75-21.25 (21.25-22.5) 22.5-24 inches]. **Gauge**: 15-16 sts x 24 rows = 10 x 10 cm [4 x 4 inches] in stockinette stitch on 4.0 mm [US 6] needles. **Needles**: **Circular needles:** 4.0 mm [US 6] / 40 or 50 cm [16 or 20 inches], **Double-pointed needles:** 4.0 mm [US 6] / omit if working magic loop, **Circular needles or double-pointed needles:** 3.0 mm [US 2.5]. **Hook**: 3.0mm. **Yarn:** Approx. 120-160 m [130-175 yds] worsted weight yarn or 120-160 m [130-175 yds] dk weight or sport weight boucle yarn + 120-160 m [130-175 yds] lace weight yarn.
