I have always loved everything about mermaids! They are magical, beautiful and connect the human world to the mysteries that lie beneath the ocean. Growing up in Florida, we lived just a short drive from Weeki Wachee Springs State Park. I watched a live mermaid show there as a young girl and the obsession took hold.
