Nuberu

(Español más abajo) **ENGLISH** Nuberu is a circular yoke sweater with stranded colourwork and it’s knitted from the top down. The yoke is very easy – only one contrasting colour and one type of increase. This is an oversized sweater with a positive ease between 15-25 cm / 6-10” (shown in the photo with 25 cm / 10” positive ease). Nuberu means black cloud in the dialect spoken in the northern Spanish region where I was born. **MATERIALS** * 4.5 mm (US 7) circular needles. Adjust if necessary to achieve gauge – see below. If you tend to knit colourwork a bit tight, you should go up a needle size for that section. * 4 mm (US 6) circular needles or a size smaller than the main needles for the ribbing. *Markers, tapestry needle and waste yarn or extra cables to put the sleeve stitches on hold. **SIZES** 1 (2, 3, 4) (5, 6, 7) (8, 9) **How to choose your size:** measure your bust circumference, add the ease recommended below (i.e. 15-25 cm / 6-10 inches) and find the “finished circumference at bust” measurement below that is closest to that figure. Make sure your gauge matches the one given below to ensure your finished garment will be the same dimensions. **GAUGE** **Stockinette stitch:** 18 stitches and 25 rounds in 10 cm / 4 inches with the larger needles, after blocking. **Colourwork:** 20 stitches and 23 rounds in 10 cm / 4 inches with the larger needles, after blocking. **YARN** DK-weight yarn in two colours. I used Rowan Fine Tweed Haze (215 m / 235 yards in 50 g, 37% alpaca, 37% wool, 13% polyamide, 9% cotton). **Main colour (MC):** I used the Nero colourway (black). 755 (825, 935, 1000) (1100, 1185, 1240) (1320, 1395) m. 826 (902, 1023, 1094) (1203, 1296, 1356) (1444, 1526) yards. **Contrasting colour (CC):** I used the Blush colourway (pale pink). 110 (115, 125, 145) (165, 180, 200) (215, 230) m. 120 (126, 137, 159) (180, 197, 219) (235, 252) yards. **MEASUREMENTS** Finished circumference at bust: 91 (102, 113,5, 122) (133,5, 142, 151) (160, 171) cm 35.75 (40.25, 44.75, 48) (52.5, 56, 59.5) (63, 67.25) inches Ease: + 15-25 cm / 6-10 inches It has 25 cm / 10 inches positive ease on the model. ________________________ **ESPAÑOL** El Nuberu es un jersey con canesú de colourwork (punto Jacquard) que se teje del cuello hacia abajo. La sección de colourwork es de un solo color de contraste y con repeticiones muy fáciles. El jersey es un poco oversized, con una holgura de entre 15-25 cm (en la foto tiene una holgura de 25 cm). Nuberu significa “nube negra” en asturiano y es también el nombre de un personaje de la mitología asturiana. **MATERIALES** * Agujas circulares de 4,5 mm. Ajustar el número de aguja si es necesario para conseguir la misma tensión que el patrón – ver más abajo. Si tiendes a tejer el colourwork apretado, se recomienda subir un tamaño de aguja para esa sección. * Agujas circulares de 4 mm (o un tamaño menos que las agujas principales) para los elásticos. * Marcadores, aguja lanera y lana de desecho para poner los puntos de las mangas en espera. **TALLAS** 1 (2, 3, 4) (5, 6, 7) (8, 9) **Cómo elegir tu talla:** mide tu contorno de pecho, añade la holgura recomendada (15-25 cm) y encuentra en la tabla de medidas el contorno de pecho de la prenda terminada que más se aproxime a esa cifra. Asegúrate de que tu tensión coincide con la que se indica para que tu jersey tenga las mismas medidas. Ver vídeo en Tutoriales. **TENSIÓN** **Punto jersey:** 18 puntos y 25 vueltas en 10 cm con las agujas más grandes, en circular, después de bloquear. **Colourwork:** 20 puntos y 23 vueltas en 10 cm con las agujas más grandes, en circular, después de bloquear. **LANA** Lana de grosor DK de 2 colores. Yo usé Rowan Fine Tweed Haze (215 m en 50 g, 37% alpaca, 37% lana, 13% poliamida, 9% algodón). Esta es una lana bastante “peluda” así que a pesar de ser lo equivalente a un grosor fingering en cuestión de metros por 100 g, en realidad al tener tanto pelo es el equivalente a un grosor DK. **Color principal (CP):** 755 (825, 935, 1000) (1100, 1185, 1240) (1320, 1395) m. Yo usé el color Nero (negro). **Color de contraste (CC):** 110 (115, 125, 145) (165, 180, 200) (215, 230) m.
