Lena Hooded Cowl

Lena hooded cowl is started from the top and knitted downwards, integrating garter stitch with half fisherman’s rib stitch throughout the construction. Finally, the cast on edge of the hood’s top is seamed together with right side facing. This hooded cowl features a relaxed and airy design in the hood area, offering both comfort and style. The looser fit provides a soft, elegant silhouette while still keeping you warm, making it a versatile and cozy accessory for cooler weather. Gauge / With 6mm (US10) needle: 15 sts x 20 rows = 10 x 10 cm / 4 x 4” in stockinette stitch after blocking 14 sts x 26 rows = 10 x 10 cm / 4 x 4” in half fisherman’s rib stitch after blocking Yarn: -The white version with colorful speckles: One strand of bulky weight yarn Gepard Puno Spicy. Color way: 10 Unicorn. 68% Alpaca , 22% Nylon, 10%Merino, 50g=110m/120yds. A total of 2.2 balls of yarn were used. Approx. 242m/265yds -The solid white version: One strand of worsted weight yarn + one strand of mohair held together Quince & Co, Lark. Color way: Egret. 100% American Wool, 50g=123m/134yds. A total of 2.1 skeins of yarn were used. Approx. 253m/276yds Majo Garn, Peal Mohair. Color way: Oatmeal. 70% Mohair, 30% Silk, 23g=210m/229yds. A total of 1.2 balls of yarn were used. Approx. 255m/278yds -The beige version: Two strands of light fingering weight yarn + one strand of mohair held together Majo Garn, Tweed Supreme, Color way: Linen. 100% Merino, 50g=350m/382yds. A total of 1.4 balls of yarn were used. Approx. 490m/535yds Majo Garn, Peal Mohair. Color way: Oatmeal. 70% Mohair, 30% Silk, 23g=210m/229yds. A total of 1.2 balls of yarn were used. Approx. 255m/278yds Needle: 6 mm (US 10) Other Materials: Stitch markers, tapestry needles, 2 buttons with a diameter of unless 25mm each. The rectangular buttons used in my sample are 40 x 14mm
