S Curve

A versatile little one-skein scarf with riffles, ruffles, and wide bias ribs. S Curve is knitted in two pieces from tip to center with little German short rows along one edge. The two pieces are grafted together in the center, and if you're not too sure of your grafting skills, we have a few links in the pattern's Resources section to help guide you through. If you're familiar with my old Sunday Scarf design, S Curve looks a lot like it, only it's got tidier edges, simpler increases, easier short rows, clearer instructions and more resources. It's a very different design, in other words, but if you'd purchased my Sunday scarf in the past, you should see this new scarf already delivered as an update to your library. **STATS** **Yarn:** Any sport-weight woolen or other springy yarn that works nicely to gauge: 200 yards. Or use a plumper or finer yarn if you prefer, working the the size needles that are most appropriate for your yarn. **Needles & Notions:** Size 5 US / 3.75 mm needles, tapestry needle. **Gauge:** 24 sts and 32 rows = 4" in Stockinette stitch. **Techniques:** German short rows, grafting. **Difficulty level:** While there are no difficult techniques used, the project can be tricky at first because there are so many different things going on: increases, decreases, ribs and short rows to keep track of all at once.
