This crochet coaster pattern features a simple, yet elegant stitch design complemented by a textured bobble border. The straightforward stitch creates a sturdy, functional base, while the playful bobble edging adds a decorative touch, making each coaster both practical and visually appealing. Suitable for crocheters of all levels, this project offers a quick and satisfying way to practice basic techniques while creating a lovely handmade accessory for your home. This pattern is designed using DK weight yarn and a 4.5mm hook. I recommend choosing a synthetic or plant-based fiber for the coaster, as these materials are easy to care for. The coaster is worked in the round using extended single crochet stitches, with increases in every round. The last round features a decorative bobble round. Since this is a small project, gauge is not critical. This pattern is written for one size, which should fit most mugs perfectly. If you find it too small or too large, feel free to experiment with different gauges or adjust the number of increase rounds.
