Turkey Leg

Getting your hands on a real turkey leg might actually be more difficult than making this crocheted version! Crochet a full sized version using 2 strands of worsted weight yarn, or opt for a single-stranded version to better fit the smaller hands of your favorite tiny chef. Each drumstick is made in one piece, with only a small amount of sewing required to complete the shaping of the bone and and close up your project. I’m making it my personal mission to be more involved in my community going forward. When a local children’s advocacy center put out a call for crocheters to donate crocheted turkey legs for their 2024 Turkey Trot, I knew it was a perfect way for me to contribute! I started working through my stash of brown yarns to transform them into turkey legs, and wrote this pattern in the process.
