Spiderman Boggy Creek Blanket

This blanket is designed to meet the size requirements for Boggy Creek Camp and is offered free of charge. The blanket is crocheted in stripes in the round to a size of 40” x 40“ (101.6 cm x 101.6 cm) using 100% acrylic yarn in worsted weight (medium 4) and 3 colours. The webbing is surface crocheted onto the blanket after completely the striping rounds. A spider applique with a heart centre is sewn on to the middle of the webbing after the blanket is completed. Gauge is not important unless you wish the blanket to be 40"x40" and end on the webbing colour. The blanket can easily be modified to be made a larger size. The blanket requires 3 colours, and you will need at least 1 skein of each colour. The blue colour requires the most yardage, and with the Mainstays yarn, part of a second skein was required to reach the required 40"x40" size. A 6.5 to 7.0 mm hook is used, and a hook 2 sizes smaller is needed to make the applique.
