The Lancelot Cowl

**GENERAL / INTRODUCTION** This cosy cowl is knit top-down in the round from chunky yarn. The lower part is slightly flared for a better fit and is guaranteed to keep your neck warm. **SIZES & MEASUREMENTS** The finished piece measures 8”/20.5 cm in height and 10.75”/27 cm in width measured at the top border. **YARN** This pattern requires 130/118 y/m of a bulky or super bulky-weight yarn, preferably containing an animal-based fibre so it keeps the neck warm. (Merino) Wool, alpaca, mohair yarns, or blends are recommended. Make sure to create a gauge swatch in the round to see if you can get gauge with the yarn of your choice. **NEEDLES & NOTIONS** * Circular or double-pointed needles US9 / 5.5mm * Scissors * A tape measure * Stitch markers * (optional) Blocking materials Note: If necessary, switch to one or two needle sizes larger or smaller to get gauge. **GAUGE** 14 st x 26 r = 4x4” / 10x10 cm in stockinette stitch on US9 / 5.5mm needles. Row gauge is less important than stitch gauge for this design.
