Mondlicht Socks

This is the first sock pattern of Sockvent 2024. Mondlicht Socks (moon light socks) are reminiscent of the light of the moon falling on the earth. With the cables flowing down the socks, this is a beautiful pattern for a light semi solid colorway. Socks are worked top down with a heel flap. There are 3 sizes (M, L, and XL, 64, 72 and 72 stitches). You will need about 300 - 400 m (328 - 437 yards) of sock yarn (fingering weight), depending on your choosen size. Other supplies: Knitting needles for working small circumferences in 2.25 mm (US1) or size to obtain gauge, cable needle, tapestry needle, scissors. Pattern includes a chart for the cables. Due to test knitting it turned out, that these socks are quiet tight, so please take care to choose a bigger size and/or needle then usually! Mondlichtsocken erinnern mich mit ihren fließenden Zöpfen an das Licht des Mondes. Toll ist diese Anleitung für helle (semi)solide Färbungen. Die Socken werden von oben (top down) mit einer Fersenwand gestrickt. Es sind 3 Größen beschrieben (M, L und XL, 64, 72, 80 Maschen). Du benötigst abhängig von Deiner gewählten Größe etwa 300 - 400 m Sockengarn. Weiteres Zubehör: Stricknadeln zum Arbeiten kleiner Umfänge, Zopfnadel, Vernähnadel, Schere. Die Anleitung enthält eine Strickschrift für die Zöpfe. Während des Teststricks hat sich herausgestellt, daß diese Socken tendenziell eher enger werden, bitte berücksichtige dies bei Deiner Größenwahl und nimm im Zweifelsfall größere Nadeln oder arbeite eine Größe größer als üblich.
