Alameda Beanie

The Alameda Beanie pattern is an introduction to stranded colorwork knitting. The pattern follows a 8 round repetition and color changes happen every other stitch. This makes short strands that are easy to manage and you can get used to your tension. It is perfect for a first colorwork project and it is also good to use up scrap yarn from other projects. This pattern includes instructions for super bulky, bulky and worsted weight yarn. It is written in US standard terms and includes child and adult sizes. It is recommended for beginner knitters. **SUGGESTED YARN:** Super Bulky 6 weight yarn like Lion Brand Wool Ease Thick & Quick or Malabrigo Rasta. Bulky 5 weight yarn like Malabrigo Bulky.
