I hope you have a joyful Christmas! As usual, there are instructions for both overlay mosaic and interlocking filet crochet. For each technique, there is a non-solid two-color version or a solid multicolor version. You can crochet it in one of three ways: 1) from bottom to top across the full width, 2) the main panel with the first border, 3) only the main panel. For the second and third options, there are instructions for crocheting a decorative border in the round (envelope border for overlay mosaic). If you prefer a solid two-color version, you can easily follow the instructions for the solid multicolor version. Simply ignore the color change instructions. For overlay mosaic, I don't provide an explanation for color changes and yarn carrying techniques. You can find many useful videos on YouTube and choose the one that works best for you. Full size: 243 sts x 307 rows (the total number of both light and dark rows, 121 x 153 filet windows) Main panel and 1st border: 219 sts x 283 rows (109 x 141 filet windows) Main panel separately: 205 sts x 269 rows (102 x 134 filet windows) **For solid multicolor version of this blanket you will need:** **Yarn**: for example, Scheepjes Stone Washed. You will need at least two colors of yarn – a light color for the pattern (C1 – white, light green, yellow) and a dark color for the background (C2 – dark blue, red). **Yarn weight**: Sport. Ball weight: 50 g, yarn length:130 m (142.17 yds). **Gauge**: 10 stitches in 5cm (2”) by 5 rows in 5cm (2”) in dc stitch pattern. Using a different gauge won’t affect the design, but it will change the finish size and the amount of yarn needed. ---------------------------- **Overlay mosaic crochet** **Hook** 3.25 – 3.5 mm. **Yardage** *Main panel* approx. 1100 m of white yarn (C1), for Christmas tree (Tr) - 600 m, for boubles and the star (Bbl and St) - 150 m, for the background (C2) – 2100 m.
