Tryon Creek is a classic cabled pullover with a double collar that is sure to become a true wardrobe staple. Picture it with your favorite jeans or skirt on the beach, hiking or at dinners with friends and family, and even at work. The fun cables flow from the top all the way down into the hem and sleeve cuff ribbing. A plump lateral braid (instructions included) adds structure and a design element at the top of the shoulders. The construction is top-down and seamless with modified drop shoulders. There’s plenty of structure built into the design so that it will keep its shape with lots of wear. The side panels in reverse stockinette offer easy sizing adjustments and there’s an option to add increases for additional width at the hemline. The pattern is written for 2x2 ribbing that flows out from the cable stitches on the hem and sleeve cuffs, but it also includes a more simple option for 1x1 ribbing. Try it on as you go to get the exact length you desire… that’s the beauty of top-down and seamless designs! Tryon Creek will look good in any DK to light worsted yarn that meets gauge, has little color variation, and good stitch definition.
