Pendueles Hat and Cowl

(Español más abajo) **ENGLISH** Pendueles is a stranded colourwork hat which uses a simple and easy-to-memorise pattern. It’s knitted with fingering-weight yarn, from the ribbing towards the crown and in the round. It has two adult sizes. The pattern includes instructions to knit a matching cowl. **MATERIALS** * 3.5 mm (US 4) circular needles, 40 cm / 16” long for the hat and 60 cm / 24” long for the cowl. Adjust the needle size if necessary to match the gauge given below. You can also use double-pointed needles. * 3 mm (US 2 ½), or two sizes smaller than the main needles, for the ribbing. * Markers and tapestry needle. **SIZES** The hat has two sizes: 1 (2). For head circumferences 48-54 (55-63) cm / 19-21 (22-24) inches. The cowl is one size only and it measures 31 cm / 12” wide and 29 cm / 11” tall. **GAUGE** 26 stitches and 27 rows in 10 cm / 4” in stranded colourwork with the larger needles, after blocking. **YARN** Fingering-weight yarn (400 m / 437 yards in 100 g) in 3 colours. I used Abenaia Fingering 2.1 (100% merino, 180 m / 197 yards in 50 g). **Main colour (MC):** shown in the Serrubeco colourway (brown). Hat: 95 (120) m / 104 (131) yards. Cowl: 200 m / 219 yards. **Contrasting colour 1 (CC1):** shown in the Cochinilla colourway (dark red). Hat: 50 (70) m / 55 (77) yards. Cowl: 95 m / 104 yards. **Contrasting colour 2 (CC2):** I used Xolla Pastoreta in the Matafoc colourway (pink). Hat: 10 (15) m / 11 (17) yards. Cowl: 27 m / 30 m. Está hecho con lana de grosor fingering, tejido de abajo hacia arriba en circular y viene en dos tallas de adulto. El patrón incluye instrucciones para tejer un cuello a juego. **MATERIALES** * Agujas circulares de 3,5 mm. Largo de 40 cm para el gorro y 60 cm para el cuello. Ajustar el número de aguja si es necesario para conseguir la misma tensión que el patrón – ver más abajo. También puedes usar agujas de doble punta. * Agujas circulares de 3 mm (o dos medidas menos que las agujas principales) para el elástico. * Marcador y aguja lanera. **TALLAS Y MEDIDAS** El gorro tiene dos tallas: 1 (2).
