At 19 WPI it falls closer to a 2/Fine/Sport weight yarn. If you are substituting with a different yarn, use one in this smaller weight category for best results. Also, Cottonsmooth DK is labeled as machine wash, dry flat. However, I have both machine washed and dried it with good results. Crochet Hook: F (3.75 mm), or size needed to match gauge.
