YARN 4-ply sport weight semi-cotton or cotton in the following shades: For the duckling: * 5/8oz (16g) of cream * 1/16oz (1–2g) of mustard * Small amount of pink yarn for blushes For the lion: * ¾oz (20g) of beige * 1/8oz (5g) of brown * 1/8oz (5g) of cream HOOK US size B/1 (2mm) crochet hook OTHER TOOLS AND MATERIALS * Stitch markers * Optional: piece of rattle cellophane (or baking sleeve) for rustling effect * Blunt-ended yarn needle * Approx. ¾oz (20g) of polyester stuffing * Tweezers or wooden stick for stuffing * Approx. 11/8in (28mm) diameter ball rattle * Black and pink threads for embroidery * Thin sewing needle
