Keyhole Ripple Scarf

Ripple stitches are a classic crochet stitch pattern that replace the usual grid pattern of crochet stitches with elegant undulating lines. These stitch patterns use regular increases and decreases in each row. The increase becomes the high point of the ripple and the decrease becomes the low point of the ripple. This pattern just repeats row 2, so is easy to internalize. Once blocked, the regularly spaced holes give a lacy effect that makes for a fabric that still has substance and warmth, but has pleasing drape.
