Dainty Cross Bookmark

In the past some people who bought my [original Cross Bookmark pattern][1] have said that they would like something smaller. So I have created this Dainty Cross Bookmark which would be suitable for a small bible or prayer book. The pattern is for a cross bookmark made in #10 crochet cotton thread. Charts are provided as well as written instructions. The pattern includes one basic cross pattern with two different edgings. There are also instructions for adding two slightly different cords and tassels. The larger hooks listed are for making these. It would be possible to use the pattern to create a bookmark of a slightly larger size, but still smaller than my original pattern, by increasing the repeat on the arms. The penultimate photograph shows how this would compare and the last photograph shows these two options next to my original Cross Bookmark, all made in #10 crochet cotton. The pattern is designed for #10 crochet cotton. I am using Anchor Artiste and Anchor Aida thread which are no longer available. However it appears that both Puppet and Aunt Lydia make #10 crochet cotton so I have included those as suggestions. With very many thanks to all my testers.
