I've created this cardigan using three different yarn combinations, but as long as your gauge matches, feel free to select the yarn that you love and that feels perfect against your skin. Some yarn, especially dk weight merino yarn tends to pull together whilst knitting the willow stitch pattern. It grows a lot through the blocking process. if you rather want to try your garment whilst knitting to have a right feeling, I recommend to use a sock yarn with 1 thread of silkmohair or in double silkmohair. But normally you will get a feeling when you are knitting your swatch. **Gauge** 20 sts x 25 rows in willow pattern in 4mm needles **Yardage** 680 (765) 900 (1000) 1070 (1150)m The yardage is calculated on rather “cropped “ length.
