Water Dragon

This is a digital pattern to create a water dragon. The finished size of this pattern will be approximately 7.5 inches tall by 17.5 inches long. This pattern is written in US terminology and is rated with a difficulty level of Intermediate Advanced. Yarns used are from Prismatic Fiber and Artistry in colorways: Misty Mountains Naiad Materials Needed: Approximately 227 yards of worsted weight yarn Front Flippers: 40yd Rear Flippers: 18yd Head: 18yd Ears: 2.5yd Eyelids: 3yd Single Neck Body: 92yd Double Neck Body: 113yd Tail Fins: 18yd Ocean Flora and Fauna: 35yd Pond Flora and Fauna: 34yd 3.25mm crochet hook Yarn needle, scissors, stitch markers Polyfil or other filling material Wire Pet Brush One neck body: 1-2 x 18” pieces of 18 gauge wire (between 18 and 36 inches of wire) Two neck body: 3 x 18” pieces of 18 gauge wire 16mm safety eyes Intro: This pattern will be worked in a continuous spiral unless otherwise specified. Note: This pattern contains multiple types of stitches that are specific to form the correct shape. Examples of this include both Decreases and Invisible Decreases. You can substitute your decreases with invisible decreases if you wish, however your shaping may be off. The Water Dragon does not need to be wired; however, they will not be poseable without wiring. This pattern can use any size yarn and crochet hook, but please be aware that you will need to resize your safety eyes and wiring.
