Slippery Road Ahead mittens

Just a pair of colorwork mittens, with a couple of twists: * *Kihnu Troi* cast on, * corrugated ribbing in the cuff, thumb wedge and thumb * lateral braid aka *vits* to separate the cuff visually from the hand * an asymmetric thumb gusset * the meandering colorwork motif keeps the knitter awake on every round. A consoling thing, though: if you make a mistake it is very unlikely that anyone will notice it. Driving lines on slippery roads are not always consistent. **Sizes** 42, 48, 56, 64, 72 sts circumference. The actual size of the mittens depends on the gauge aka yarn and needles. Advice on choosing yarn, needles and stitch count is given in the pattern. The length of the hand and thumb is fully adjustable. **Yarns** Samples were knit from DK and Fingering weight yarns, testers used successfully also Sport and Worsted yarns.
