TROPEZ Sweater

TROPEZ Sweater is a simple boxy-shaped pullover in a mesh pattern. A true summer favorite that can be worn either as an airy topper for another top, or as a beach cover-up over swimwear. The sweater is crocheted from the bottom up in a granny-type cluster pattern. First, the Back is worked in back-and-forth rows with turning, then the Front. After this, the shoulder seams are closed with slip stitches to join both pieces. The sleeves are crocheted directly onto the Body and likewise worked in back-and-forth rows with turning. Finally, side and sleeve seams are closed using slip stitches, and neckline and sleeve edges as well as the hem of the garment are finished with a single crochet edging. If you want to work your sweater slightly longer, plan for an extra skein. **Needles** Crochet hooks 4.0 mm [US G/6, UK8] and 3.5 mm [US E/4, UK9]. **Gauge/Tension** In “Granny stitch” with crochet hook 4.0 mm [US G/6, UK8]: 20 sts and 10 rows = 10 x 10 cm [4 x 4 inches], slightly stretched and measured spread out flat.
