Cloud Peak Socks

*I designed these socks while in the Bighorn Mountains, much of which lie within the ancestral lands of the Cheyenne and Crow peoples. Named after Cloud Peak, the tallest mountain within Bighorn Mountains, these toe-up socks knit up surprisingly quickly. The 1x1 ribbing lends a snug fit, and a leaf motif adds that little something extra to draw the eye and keep your interest as you knit.* **NOTES** **Design & Construction:** The Cloud Peak Socks are knit toe up with a fleegle heel. The leg features 1x1 ribbing and an allover textured leaf motif. **Fit:** These socks are intended to be worn with approximately 1 to 2 in. (2.5 to 5 cm) of negative ease. The 1x1 ribbing stretches quite a bit, so you will want more negative ease than you would typically include when knitting a stockinette sock! **Stitch Patterns:** The pattern includes both written instructions and a video tutorial for the textured leaf motif. **SIZES** (1, 2, 3)(4, 5, 6) **FINISHED CIRCUMFERENCE** *The circumference as measured around the foot is as follows.* (5.25, 6.25, 7)(8, 8.75, 9.75) in. (76 cm) circular needles for magic loop or your preferred needles for smaller circumference knitting (i.e., short circular needles, or double-pointed needles).* **GAUGE** Measure gauge knit in the round, after blocking. 32 sts and 44 rows = 4 in. (10 cm) in stockinette 42 sts and 42 rows = 4 in.
