The design of the Birkin Spencer is inspired by 70s fashion to fulfill your retro dreams. However, the top is very elegant and versatile due to the lace stitch. It can be a classic staple piece in your wardrobe to be combined with almost any clothing, for any season or occasion. The top is fitted to the body and cropped to accentuate your waistline and to give a flattering effect. Ofcourse if you prefer a looser fit, you can always size up. The lace stitch is explained in writing and in a chart. You can follow any of these instructions, whichever you prefer to knit with. After a few rows the pattern is easy to remember by heart.
