Hør no 19

*Hør is the Danish name for linen, lino, linn, flax. This design is number 19 in a series of linen blouses, tops or t-shirt for summer. HØR no 19 is worked from the bottom and up in a beautiful checkered knit/purl stitch pattern. The body is worked in the round with increases in the top for sleeves. The upper part of the back and front are worked back and forth and the shoulders are shaped with short rows. All edges are knitted on afterwards - a characteristic I-cord with purl stitches. HØR no 19 is a "boxy" style - wide and short, with a beautiful fall in the heavy linen.* **Materials** HØR from www.hyggestrik.dk or similar fingering weight linen-yarn 164 yd (150 m) /50 g: 300 / 350 / 350 / 400 / 400 / 450 g **Needles** 32” (80 cm) circular needle size US 2.5 (3 mm) - bamboo needle is recommended. 1 extra needle size US 2.5 (3 mm) - a double pointed needle is fine. Stitch markers **Gauge** Before wash: 23 sts & 38 rows in knit/purl stitch pattern with needle size US 2.5 (3 mm) = 4” (10 cm).
