Fearless DK Weight Socks

SOCK CONSTRUCTION Top down, ribbed cuff, stockinette stitch leg and foot, shadow wrap short row heel and rounded toe. Both full length and shorty sock versions are included. SHADOW WRAP SHORT ROW HEEL CUSTOMIZATION This pattern also contains a section on how to customize the shadow wrap short row heel for any yarn weight or sock size. Now you can substitute this heel in any sock pattern no matter the size or weight of the yarn you are using! See pages 8 and 9 for details. SIZE Pattern is written for Adult Small (Medium, Large) 7 (8, 9) inches/18 (20, 23) cm NOTE ON SIZE The sizes are based on foot circumference (measured around the ball/widest part of the foot). I recommend choosing the size that will give you 1-2 inches/2-5 cm of negative ease for the best fit. Leg and foot length are customizable. GAUGE 6 stitches per inch in stockinette stitch 24 stitches and 40 rounds per 4 inches/10 cm NEEDLES US 3 (3.25mm) or size required to obtain the gauge. Two circulars, magic loop, 9” circular or DPNs can be used. Pattern is not written for a specific needle technique. SUPPLY LIST YARN DK weight yarn Samples shown in Knotty Pine Fiber Co.
