Tattercoats' Mitts

Written for the Minnesota Yarn Shop Hop ’24: Fairy Tales, these crocheted linen stitch mitts are inspired by how Minnesota-based author [Trung Le Nguyen][1] intertwines the past, the present, and the fantastical in his novel “[The Magic Fish][2].” An optional tie is woven through at the wrist and tied into a whimsical bow, reflecting the juxtaposition of fairy tale endings with a rough and tumble life. These one-size fingerless mitts are worked flat in linen stitch and seamed up the side. Finished measurements are 6.5” around & 8.5” long (easily modified for different wrist circumferences).
