Whitterick

A Scots word for Curlew, Whitterick is a gorgeous cowlette perfect for all seasons. Slipped stitches give a beautiful texture to the main body, before blending into a lace pattern for the border. Knit from the top down like a traditional triangular shawl, Whitterick is joined in the round just before the lace starts, turning it from shawl to cowlette. The pattern is fully written and charted so whichever way you like to read your patterns, you’re covered! The pattern has been tech edited and test knitted. There’s a screenshot of the pattern and a list of the stitches used at the bottom of the photos. **Materials** * 212 m (232 yds) of Lottie Knits Aglow DK (60% Superwash Merino, 20% Silk, 20% Yak, 212 m/100g) in Cinnamon * 4.5 mm (US 7) circular needles, 60 cm (24”) long (Or size need to get gauge) * 4 stitch markers * Yarn needle for sewing in ends * Blocking mat and pins **Gauge** 19 stitches and 40 rows in 10 cm (4”) in body stitch worked flat and measured after blocking. Differences in gauge will affect the amount of yarn used and may also change the size of the finished cowlette. **Finished Size** Top circumference: 70 cm (27.5”) Depth at front: 47 cm (18.5”)
