Matilda Mitts

The Matilda Mitts have become the best-selling item of my Etsy shop. Their design was inspired by a cheeky little Speckled Sussex chicken I have whose name is Matilda. I love her individuality and independence. She never fails to tell someone off who crosses her. She is a strong lady and an excellent and fierce mother hen. She really inspires me and I created these mitts to be able to remember her by one day when she's no longer with me. These mitts are very dear to my heart. Many folks requested I write up and release the pattern but for so long I have declined to do so. But I believe the time has come for me to share this design with others so they too can enjoy making them. What's not to love about a fingerless mitt with a plump spotted chicken, a beautiful Latvian braid accent, and endless color combination possibilities?
