Baking Doodle (Standard Cowl)

**THE BAKING DOODLE STANDARD COWL** This pattern is worked in the round, beginning with a ribbed bottom edge, followed by design-your-own stranded colorwork, and finishing in ribbing along the top edge. This is a **Doodle Series Pattern**, which means it includes micro charts intended to be used as mix-and-match colorwork motifs throughout the project. This “Baking doodle” is inspired by love of baking and all the sweet treats! Or you can substitute ANY other Doodle charts! Check out [#BakingDoodleCowl][1] for more inspiration! **24 Doodle Motifs** included are a stand mixer, hand mixer, oven, oven mitts, rolling pin, whisk, mixing bowls, cookies, cakes, pies, cupcakes, cake decorations, and more! **SIZE(S)** Adult Small (Medium, Large)* *Available in standard and tapered fits. **MEASUREMENTS** Height: 12 in [30 cm] Circumference: 20 (24, 28) in [50, 60 (70) cm] **YARN** Any DK, light worsted, or sport weight yarn. Sample uses [Yarnaceous Fibers][2] Bronto DK base, 85% Superwash Merino / 15% Nylon, 100 g skeins, 236 yards [216 m]; Colors: Cupcake Wars Kit Yardage listed in total yards per size due to the customizable nature of this pattern. *340 (400, 465) yards [311 (366, 425) meters] *Approx. (1) 100g skein main color and (3-6) 20g skeins accent colors OR *Approx. (5-6) 50g skeins for all colors NOTE: Tapered version will use slightly less yardage than the standard cowl due to the decreases near the top of the cowl. **NEEDLES** Main Fabric: US 5/3.75 mm or size to obtain gauge Ribbing: US 4/3.5 mm or one size smaller than gauge 24 or 32 in [60 or 80 cm] circular needles, depending on size selected **GAUGE** 24 sts and 24 rows per 4 in [10 cm] in colorwork **NOTIONS** 5 (6, 7) removable stitch markers (one in different color) Scissors & Tapestry needle **SPECIAL TECHNIQUES** Special techniques include stranded colorwork in the round and twisted ribbing.
