Parkside Hat

Originally written for Peace Fleece Worsted, this pattern has been expanded to include instructions using Peace Fleece DK, as well as stashbusting notes to make use of leftover oddments of yarn or multiple colors calculated by yarn weights. This hat is given in three sizes for either yarn weight, from baby to adult. **Sizes** Small (Medium, Large) To fit up to 19 (21, 23)˝ {48 (53.5, 58.5) cm} head circumference **Yarn** **Worsted/Aran weight:** Peace Fleece Worsted 75% Navajo Rambouillet & Domestic Fine Wool/ 25% Mohair, approx. 200 yds [183 m] per 4 oz {113g} skein OR **DK weight:** Peace Fleece DK 75% Navajo Rambouillet & Domestic Fine Wool/ 25% Mohair, approx. 175 yds {160 m} per 50g skein **Needles** One 16˝ {40 cm} circular needle and set of DPNs, or longer circular for magic loop method **Worsted:** size US 8 {5 mm} **DK:** size US 6 {4 mm} Or size to obtain gauge **Or size to obtain gauge** **Gauge** **Worsted:** 20 sts and 22 rnds = 4˝ [10 cm] in 1x1 rib **DK:** 25 sts and 32 rnds = 4˝ [10 cm] in 1x1 rib *Note: gauge measured on unstretched fabric* **Finished Measurements** **Worsted:** 12 (14, 16)˝ {30.5 (35.5, 40.5) cm} circumference and 7.75 (12, 12.75)˝ {20 (30.5, 32.5) cm} total length, after blocking **DK:** 12.75 (14.5, 16)" {32.5, (37, 40.5) cm} circumference and 7.75 (12, 12.75)" {20 (30.5, 32.5) cm} total length, after blocking **Notes** Hat is worked in the round from brim to crown. Crown shaping is worked over five points with a central double decrease (CDD) worked into the rib pattern. Finished measurements are taken unstretched and unfolded; ribbed fabric is very stretchy and can accommodate a range of head sizes.
