Melody's Flower Lovey

This pattern was a breath of fresh air and not one that I even intended to write. My dear cousin is expecting her 2nd child soon, so naturally I started on a baby blanket for her. I had a decent amount of yarn leftover after completing the blanket and thought a lovey would be the perfect way to use it. I searched and searched for a pattern to use, but none of them seemed to be exactly what I wanted. I wanted something dainty, but sturdy. Something with texture that wasn’t the standard star, square, or circle shape. I wanted a flower. Well, when you can’t find what you want, you gotta make it! So I did. I’m learning that with each pattern comes a story. How it came to be, the inspiration behind it, the need for it…they all have a story.
