Hydra Scales

This cuff-down sock features a strong heel and Hydra scale patterning. Perfect for playing with colours. Pick a light, medium and dark yarn for a tonal pair. Or embrace the Hydra’s dangerous side and choose a wild multicoloured yarn for the central scale. 2 of the scales are formed from slip-stitch cables and the third using intarsia cables. Hydrae are serpentine mythical beasts with 3 (or more) heads. They are known for their regenerative ability to grow 2 new heads when one is cut off. Hydrae are found in many MMORPGs and TTRPGs where their regenerative ability adds extra battle strategy. **Sizes** Extra Small, 56 stitches to fit foot circumference of approx 16.5 cm / 6 ½ in. Small, 64 stitches, to fit foot circumference of approx 19 cm / 7 ½ in. Medium, 72 stitches, to fit foot circumference of approx 21.5 cm / 8 ½ in.
