Snow Day Leg Warmers

The Snow Day Leg Warmers are a 2x2 half twisted rib leg warmer with a tubular bind off at the end to ensure a snug fit on the leg. They are constructed bottom-up. They use a worsted or aran weight yarn and are super warm and squishy. Cozy, cute, coquette. ^___^ This project was heavily inspired by [Dawn Wang's pinterest-worthy ribbed leg warmers][1], as theirs is also a 2x2 rib. Check out their pattern, especially if you want to use a lighter weight yarn! **Gauge** 18 stitches = 10 cm using 4.5mm (US 7) needles. The gauge is flexible for this pattern, as it is just a tube. You can always cast on, work about 2-3 inches, then carefully try on to see if the width is satisfying to you. There is also flexibility in how tight the top becomes. **Suggested Materials** * Yarn: Any worsted or aran weight yarn, or any yarn that obtains gauge. I used Cascade 220 Superwash Aran in the color White Sands. I used 160g/220m, which was a little under 2 skeins. You can make them shorter/less slouchy if you'd like to use less yarn, or you can make them as tall as you'd like! * Needles: Size 4.5 mm/US 7 circular needles (30-40 cm/12-16 in. length or magic loop). I did not need to use magic loop until after the decrease round, when I got into the double knitting. You could probably use double pointed needles instead if that is your preference. **Finished Size** The size can be tailored to what you prefer in terms of length and even width (by adjusting the number of cast on stitches).
