Dual Loop Beanie

**DUAL_LOOP_BEANIE** is a classic beanie in double rib stitch with a broad, folded brim in single rib stitch. The beanie is worked bottom up. First, stitches are cast on using tubular cast on followed by double knitting to ensure a neat edge on the brim. Then, the brim is worked in the round in rib stitch, followed by double rib stitch. Finally, the top of the beanie is shaped using decreases. **Sizes_** Child/junior (adult). Corresponding to a head circumference of approx. 48-52 (53-60) cm. **Materials_** *Suggestion 1:* 1 strand Jensen yarn – (100% Wool) from Isager 50 g / 125 m. 100 (100) g. Held together with 1 strand Silk Mohair (75% Kid Mohair, 25% Silk) from Isager 25 g / 212 m. 25 (25) g. (The Beige sample is size child/junior pictured in Jensen yarn in colour way 6s held together with Silk Mohair in colour way 6. The dark gray sample is size adult pictured in Jensen yarn in colour way 4s held together with Silk Mohair in colour way 30). *Suggestion 2:* 1 strand Carpe Diem – (70% Virgin wool, 30% Alpaca) from Lang Yarns 50 g / 90 m. 100 (150) g. (The navy sample is size child/junior pictured in Carpe Diem in colour way 714.0010. The camel sample is size adult pictured in Carpe Diem in colour way 714.0139). **Suggested needles_** Circular needles 3,5 mm (40 cm) and DPN 3,5 mm for the top of the beanie unless you knit using Magic Loop, in which case circular needles 3,5 (80 cm). **Gauge_** 24 sts x 30 rows in rib stitch (k1, p1) on needles 3,5 mm = 10 x 10 cm after wash and blocking.
