Earth side blanket

Every time a work colleague gets pregnant I like to make them a baby blanket and I often turn these into patterns ! I try to make patterns which are enjoyable to make as you’re sitting on the couch, with some variety, but that don’t require too much thinking as that’s what I like. This blanket is made with strips of easy half double crochet rows. A bit of variety is added with some sections of stripes and bobbles. You can then choose to add some images and / or words using surface crochet or leave it plain if you prefer. Finally the strips are joined together with a feather type stitch join or a simpler join if you’re in a hurry and then a simple border is added. All sections of the pattern have video tutorials, so this pattern is perfect for beginners. If you’re not a beginner you can of course just follow the written pattern. I used earthy tones, however you can also just raid your stash and use any colors you happen to have on hand as it can also be a great stash busting pattern. You can easily adjust the size of your blanket by making shorter or longer strips and adding or subtracting strips. It is up to you !
