Mellow Vest

The Mellow Vest is knitted by starting at the back from the top down to the base of the armholes. Then, both fronts are picked up and knitted separately to the armhole, and then the front and back are joined and knitted in flat down to the hem. 
 The knitting method for the border is designed to accommodate the uniqueness of fluffy yarn. I highly recommend using a fluffy yarn to knit the edges; this will help create the effect showcased in the sample. Gauge / With 8 mm (US 11) needle : 12 sts x 16 rows = 10 x 10cm / 4 x 4” in stockinette stitch after blocking. Recommended ease : 10cm / 4” + Size: 1 ( 2, 3, 4, 5 ) Sample is show in size 1 on a model who is 163 cm (5’- 4”) tall, and with 17cm / 6.75” positive ease. Finished body circumference: 103(115, 125, 142, 153)cm/40.5(45.25, 49.25, 56, 60.25)” Yarn: This vest is knitted using the mentioned bulky yarn with two strands held together. If your yarn only requires single-strand knitting to achieve the same gauge, then you'll only need half the total yardage.  Color 104: 2 ( 2, 2, 2, 2 ) Balls. Approx. 110 ( 120, 130, 140, 150 ) m/120 ( 131, 142, 153, 164 )yds (The total yardage is estimated based the finished measurement chart, you may need more yardage when extending the length of body) Needles: 8 mm (US 11) for the entire garment. 
 7 mm (US 10.75) for the fluffy border. 
 Use circular needles ranging from 60 to 120 cm according to the requirements of each section. Other Materials: Stitch markers, removable markers, cable needle, waste yarn.
