**ABOUT** A comfortable cardigan with cozy pockets & unique construction. This design uses English Tailored Shoulders for a timeless look and a comfy fit. The pattern includes photos for working these shoulders, in the case that this technique is new to you. The cuffs are designed to be extra long and folded when worn (although instructions are included for a non-folded cuff too!). Lots of garter stitch makes the body of cardigan a relaxing knit without long purl rows. I knit the sample to fit the intended wearer with 0 - 2 inches of positive ease. When selecting a size, I would encourage you to think about how you like things to fit your own body. If you like a closer-fitting garment, choose a Finished Chest Circumference with -2 to 0 inches of negative ease. If you like a looser-fitting garment, choose a Finished Chest Circumference with 2 or more inches of positive ease. **YARN REQUIREMENTS** Your yardage will depend on your gauge, size and yarn chosen. These are estimates based on testing. DK weight yarn YARDS: 970, 1170, 1370 (1570, 1770, 1970) 2170, 2370, 2570 (2770, 2970, 3170) METERS: 885, 1065, 1250 (1430, 1610, 1785) 1975, 2160, 2240 (2520, 2705, 2885) **SUGGESTED NEEDLES** use size needed to obtain gauge, these are the sizes I was able to obtain gauge with: MAIN FABRIC: 4.5mm (US SIZE 7) circular needles, 32 inches / 80 cm or longer. SMALLER NEEDLES: 4.0mm (US SIZE 6) circular needles, 32 inches / 80 cm or longer.
