**The Peace By Piece Blanket. **An heirloom colourwork blanket by Pattern Knits. Worked flat piece by piece and joined together. **Designed with love, to bring moments of peace.** UPDATE: This pattern now includes a truly step-by-step guide for recreating the original blanket, including a square-by-square colour guide. This pattern has been many years in the making and has seen four different homes, a wedding, a new career and a baby! I am overjoyed to finally be able to share the start-to-finish pattern. I started knitting these squares at a time when I was very anxious, and wanting a ‘small’ project that could keep my hands and mind occupied. Small may sound ironic given the size of the blanket, however working a square at a time has the wonderful side affect of slowing down the pace and upping the satisfaction of a quick knit. And so came the name, invented by a lovely Instagram follower: Peace By Piece.
