Riptide Cowl

**RIPTIDE COWL** is a unisex textured cowl with simple lace panels encapsulated in a broken rib stitch. It is worked top down in the round. The cowl features an optional front split seam to allow for a snug fit either under or over your coat. **CONSTRUCTION NOTES:** Riptide Cowl is worked in one piece, from the top down. There is an option to work 2 splits in the lower half of the cowl. If this is chosen the lower halves of the cowl are worked flat, otherwise work is continued in the round. Note: I needed to go up a needle size for Wool & Forest Yarn, in order to make gauge. Spare needle or smooth waste yarn for holding live sts. Tapestry/Darning needle Stitch markers: 6, 2 unique **GAUGE** 22 sts x 32 rnds = 10cm x 10cm (4”x 4”) in riptide stitch pattern in the round, on larger needles, after blocking.
