Hvammsvík Blanket

*Swaddle yourself in stitches with this geometric woolly blanket. Each section is knit in horizontal strips with one color at a time as you modularly knit the sections together, resulting in zero seaming! This DK weight blanket is ideal for single skeins and leftover bits of DK weight yarn. You can also hold two strands of fingering weight yarn together for the color blocked parallelogram shapes. This blanket was named after the Hvammsvík Hot Springs in Iceland, where you can soak in warm pools of water while looking at the mountainous and mossy landscape. I was inspired by these natural Icelandic colors for the color palette in the large blanket. Gritty neutrals with grungy pops of color reflect the rugged beauty of this magical island filled with sheep. Choose between three sizes to knit a small baby blanket, lap throw, or knit the large size, which is perfect for snuggling on the couch while knitting and watching movies.* **Sizes** Small (Medium, Large) The small size is perfect for a baby blanket. The medium size is good for a decorative throw for your couch. The large size is a big cozy size for cuddling on the couch.
