A quick but engaging knit, you’ll reach for Kiteborne on the stickiest, most sweltering days of summer, when you’d rather your clothes didn’t touch you at all. Its unique top-down bias construction gives it an airy, drapey feel on the body. Knit in cotton or linen, it will soften with every wash. **Sizing** Kiteborne is intended to be worn with 5-10cm/2-4in of positive ease. 1 (2, 3, 4) (5, 6, 7) 8 Finished bust measurement: 84.3 (91.3, 98.3, 107) (115.7, 122.6, 131.3) 138.3 cm 33.1 (35.8, 38.6, 41.7) (44.9, 48, 51.2) 54.3 in Armhole depth: 17 (18, 19, 20) (21, 22, 23.5) 25 cm 6.7 (7.1, 7.5, 7.9) (8.3, 8.7, 9.3) 9.8 in Side length: 33 (34, 35, 36) (39.5, 41, 43) 45 cm 13 (13.4, 13.8, 14.2) (15.6, 16.1, 16.9) 17.7 in **Gauge** 23 sts and 31 r in 10cm/4in. **Yarn** 396 (440, 491, 553) (647, 731, 825) 924 m/433 (481, 537, 605) (708, 799, 902) 1010 yds fingering or sport weight cotton or linen yarn. Neckline and shoulder strap stitches are cast on in the round before putting shoulder strap stitches on hold and knitting front and back separately. The back is shaped with German short rows and raglan increases until the underarm. The front is then knit with a raglan increase going down the center to create a bias. After completing armhole shaping, stitches are cast on for the underarm to join front and back to begin working in the round. The increase down the center is balanced with decreases at each side and maintained until the center front reaches the final desired length. Short rows are then worked to fill in the back and sides of the garment. Finally, shoulder strap stitches are picked back up and a garter stitch edging is worked around the armhole.
