Prairie Socks

These socks were inspired by the stories of Laura Ingalls Wilder. Laura wrote about her childhood, growing up on the prairies of Kansas. As I was knitting these socks, the stitch pattern reminded me of the wheat fields that Pa Ingalls farmed. I would like to imagine that this is the kind of pattern that Ma would have knitted for her family. I set out with the intention of creating a pattern that was relaxing to knit whilst still being engaging, exciting and addictive ! The pattern includes video tutorials to demonstrate the texture pattern and Kitchener stitch. It is perfect for all levels of knitter and comes in 3 sizes to accommodate all your family members. **The pattern sample is knitted with a skein of my own hand dyed yarn in the colourway 'Wide Open Prairie'.
