This project is perfect for using up scrap yarn, and since each square is different, you’ll never be bored watching each sweet little animal take shape. This blanket is entirely crocheted without buttons, so it’s safe for even the littlest of zookeepers! This pattern has so many possibilities: make every animal, or make just your favorites in different colors! This is an original design, using US crochet terms. You may not copy, distribute or sell this pattern as your own design, but feel free to sell finished items made from this pattern! Skill Level: Intermediate. Requires knowledge of sc, hdc and dc stitches, working in the back loop only, and making a Magic Ring. Knowledge of basic sewing is also necessary for this project. Size: Blanket shown measures approximately 29.5” x 34”, but you can make as many squares as you would like for your desired blanket size. Materials: A total of approximately 1300-1400 yards worsted weight yarn. Example uses Willow Wash Worsted, 3 skeins each of 2 background colors, and less than 1 skein each of 20 additional colors.
