Smokey Zickzacks

Do you love to buy self-striping yarns but are tired of using them for plain vanilla socks? Continuing to explore the theme I started with my Exotic Whirlpool socks (pattern is free at Ravelry.com), Smokey Zickzacks are anything but plain. Worked side to side in garter stitch, increases and decreases form chevrons that are strategically placed to produce the traditional knitted-in-the-round sock shape. Ending with a row of grafting that mimics the chevron pattern, this sock construction requires a leap of faith.
