See additional notes section. 6mm hook, or hook needed to obtain gauge Yarn needle Scissors **Stitches Used:** ch = chain sl st = slip stitch sc = single crochet dc = double crochet sc2tog = single crochet 2 together <--If you're not sure how to work the stitch, check out this video from Nicki's Homemade Crafts. **Special Stitches:** V-stitch = work (dc, ch 1, dc) in same stitch **Additional terms:** BLO = back loop only. Work all stitches for the designated round, (including the sc2tog in the band), in the back loop only. **Gauge:** Circle measures 4 1/2” across after round 7. **Additional Notes:** -Ch-1 at beginning of round does not count as a stitch. -This slouch hat pattern comes in two style options: very slouchy, and slightly slouchy. Follow notes in pattern for the style you prefer. -Pattern can be modified to fit a child by going down a hook size, and only doing 4 repeats of 9-12. -**Please note:** Lion Brand Jeans yarn is classified as a #4 worsted, however, it is much thinner than most worsted weight yarns and compares closer to #3 light weight yarns. Please take this into account if you wish to substitute yarns. Lion Brand Mandala, and Lion Brand Comfy Cotton are close in thickness to the Jeans, or Jeans Colors yarn.
