Hearty Garland

I've decided to design a small heart which could be used as hanging decoration for Christmas or Valentine’s Day or just as an appliqué. These hearts can be used separately or joined together into garland. They are crocheted in overlay crochet technique with colour changes on almost every round. The pattern itself is a bit tricky, as there are no repetitive parts and the instructions contain full wordings for every round. I guess the most important thing about crocheting this heart is to be very attentive and to count carefully. This pattern is written for one size. It contains step by step full written instructions in English using standard crochet abbreviations and US terms (stitch guide is given in the pattern). It also contains lots of pictures explaining all the tricky and difficult places. **Crochet level:** Intermediate (front post stitches are used in this pattern). The **size** of the finished heart depends on the yarn and hook you use. My decoration is approx. 10cm/4in for height and 9cm/3½in for width in the widest part. **Materials:** yarn in 4 colors, crochet hook 2.75 mm (C) or the size that will give an acceptable gauge, scissors and tapestry needle to weave the ends.
