Motorcyclist's Neckwarmer

My partner asked me to knit him something to stop the cold breeze freezing his neck when motorcycling in winter and this is what I made. It is a thick ribbed neckwarmer/dickey that can be tucked down under the neck of a motorbike jacket. It uses about 200m of scrap worsted weight or bulky wool, on 4.5mm/US 7 needles. The neckwarmer is worked in the round from the top down on a circular or DPNs as preferred. Extra info added 25/6/2015: The gauge for this pattern would be 16 sts and 22 rows over 10cm/4" in stocking stitch on 4.5mm/US 7 needles. The size that the neckwarmer fits is pretty varied because of the ribbing, I would just call it 'adult size'. The man it was designed for is wearing it in the photos, and he has a 46cm/18" neck. Officially this equates to anything between a men's XL and an XXXL depending on which part of the world you are from. In Australia he takes up to a 6XL. But that said, the exact same size fits me fine too, and I am an AU 10/US 6 with a 36cm/14" neck. I didn't need to make it any smaller. Also: be sure to cast off loosely in rib pattern to prevent curling. Go up a couple of needle sizes to cast off if you're a tight knitter.
