Matchmaker

**In my new book ["Strickmich! Also, I really like how roomy and warm they are. And since I wanted one that looks good in my favorite hand-dyed yarn, I made Matchmaker. Its very special triangular but 3-dimensional shape makes it very versatile and warm in the right places. Entirely knit in garter stitch, it is a mindless pleasure to knit. I called this one “Matchmaker”, because you can choose your two favorite handdyed colorways and marry them to this comfy, squishy, oversized cowl (the perfect use for Wollmeise’s “We’re Different”-bags!). The design is such that there are no spooky techniques involved (like provisional cast-ons, short rows or the like), and there is no joining in the round where you might accidentally twist something. Just straightforward knitting and a few increases and decreases - very suitable for beginners! The pattern provides 3 versions: The Pure Version for a fingering weight yarn, the DK Version and a Freestyle Version that instructs you to use a different yarn of your choosing, with stripes wherever you want them. Cowls und Loop-Schals sind klasse: Zweimal herumwickeln und los geht’s! Also brauchte ich auch einen aus meinem liebsten handgefärbten Garn, und so entstand „Matchmaker“: Mit seiner speziellen 3-dimensionalen Dreiecksform lässt er sich auf unterschiedliche Weisen tragen, und er ist immer genau an den richtigen Stellen warm. Ganz in kraus-rechts gestrickt, ist er ein wunderbar entspannendes Projekt und sieht mit Streifen aus Multicolor-Garn besonders schön aus. Dieses Loop-Tuch heißt Matchmaker (engl. „Heiratsvermittler“), weil man in diesem Projekt seine zwei Lieblingsfarben miteinander verheiraten kann. Auch super für zwei Stränge aus einer „We’re Different“-Standard-Tüte von der Wollmeise. Für diese Anleitung braucht man keinerlei besondere Techniken – einfach kraus-rechts und ab und zu eine Zunahme oder Abnahme. Das bekommen auch Anfängerinnen hin! Die Anleitung enthält drei verschiedene Versionen: die Pure Version für dünnes Sockengarn, die DK-Version für Garn mit ca. 210 m / 100 g und eine Freestyle-Version, mit der man den Matchmaker auch aus anderen Garnen und mit einem selbstgewählten Streifenmuster stricken kann. Поэтому я хотела иметь такую штуку из моих любимых ниток ручной окраски, и так я придумала «Свата». Благодаря уникальной треугольной форме, эту шаль-трубу можно носить разными способами, и каждый из них греет именно там, где нужно. «Matchmaker» вяжется платочной вязкой совсем без изнаночных петель – поэтому подойдёт для начинающих и молодых вязальщиц, или станет прекрасным проектом между более сложными работами для опытных мастериц. Шаль будет смотреться ещё лучше, если использовать разноцветные, вручную окрашенные нитки. Название «Matchmaker» («Сват» по-английски) я выбрала, потому что в этом проекте можно «сосватать» два подходящих цвета своей любимой пряжи, например, из комплектов «We’re Different» красильщицы Wollmeise. Описание содержит три варианта модели: Из тонкой носочной пряжи «Wollmeise Pure», из ниток средней толщины метражом 210 м/100 гр, и «Свободный полёт», который хорош из любых ниток, при любой плотности вязания и с любыми полосками собственного сочинения. Размер: Окружность 200 см Высота 56 см Вам потребуется: - Для версии из тонкой пряжи: 2 пасмы Wollmeise Pure (1 разноцветная и 1 ручной окраски) = 300 гр или 1052 м носочной пряжи.
