The deep ribbing at the placket keeps this cardigan casual and wearable for any occasion.” – Michele Wang -------------------------------------------------------- CONSTRUCTION Garment pieces are knit flat from the bottom up and sewn together. The collar is picked up from the Front edges and Back neck edge, and worked in 2x2 Ribbing to create the placket and collar. MATERIALS Approximately 1235 (1345, 1465, 1580, 1680, 1820) yards of worsted weight wool yarn 9 (10, 11, 12, 12, 13) skeins of Brooklyn Tweed Shelter (100% American Targhee-Columbia wool; 140 yards/50 g) Photographed in color Cast Iron GAUGE 18 stitches & 27 rows = 4" in stockinette stitch with Size A needle, after blocking 27 stitches & 28 rows = 4" in 2x2 Ribbing with Size B needle, slightly stretched after blocking NEEDLES Size A (for Main Fabric): One pair of straight needles or a 24" (or longer) circular needle in size needed to obtain gauge listed Suggested Size: 5 mm (US 8) Size B (for Tubular Cast On, Ribbing, and Collar): One 40” (or longer) circular needle three sizes smaller than Size A needle(s) Suggested Size: 3¾ mm (US 5) FINISHED DIMENSIONS 37¼ (40½, 44¼, 47½, 51½, 54¾)" circumference at chest, seamed and buttoned Sample shown is size 44¼" with +4¼"ease on model > Need help picking a size?
